William Hetzer, founder and CEO of DSL Sound, possesses a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also has many years of experience in live sound and event production.
Kristian Heist, with the company since 1994, has a background in touring as a live sound engineer and possesses a degree in Business Administration.
Scott Murray, with the company since 1985, has a background in touring as a live sound engineer.
Edward Musser, with the company since 1989, has a background in construction as well as live sound.
Robert Musser, with the company since 1995, has a background in Music Education. He has attended several manufacturer's seminars and training classes, as well as Renkus-Heinz's E.A.S.E. School in California.
Susan Hetzer, with the company since 1981, has a background in Graphic Arts and Marketing. She has a degree in Graphic Arts from Columbus College of Art and Design.

Founded in 1977, the company has gained a reputation as a respected and reliable contractor in the industry.

DSL Sound operates in three distinct areas:

Design and Installation of Audio, Video, Lighting and Multi-Media Systems.
Full Production Services for large and small events with Audio, Video, Lighting and Multi-Media Systems.
Equipment Rentals for events with their own production staff, but who need some or all of the equipment for the production.

As a licensed contractor, DSL Sound is widely versed in the installation of specially designed, custom Audio, Video, Lighting and Multi-Media Systems in a variety of facilities.

DSL's installations are custom designed and engineered to meet the specific acoustical and aesthetic needs of the client. As part of the design process, DSL uses the "E.A.S.E.” program to perform an acoustic analysis of the room or the space in which the system will operate. "E.A.S.E." (Enhanced Acoustic Simulation for Engineers) is a CAD-based acoustic analysis program in which a model of the room or space is constructed.

Various speaker makes and models can then be placed within the room. Power levels, equalization curves, and delays can be applied and the results plotted to determine if the proposed system will perform as required.

Based on the results of the analysis, DSL can tailor the speaker placements and aiming to optimize the room's sound quality and, if needed, suggest modifications or acoustic treatments to enhance or correct the room's acoustic properties.

When a commercial speaker enclosure will not fit into a space due to size or aesthetic considerations, DSL will design and build a speaker enclosure that satisfies the client's requirements. We can also design and build custom wooden racks and desks. DSL's custom speaker cabinets, racks and desks are constructed in-house by highly skilled craftsmen.

To date, DSL has installed systems in over 2000 locations - including over 750 "Houses of Worship." DSL has also installed systems in stadiums, racetracks, casinos, businesses, restaurants, educational facilities, courthouses, theaters and theme parks.

In the live production arena, DSL Sound can provide the personnel, equipment and technical expertise necessary for a successful presentation or performance.

DSL can supply equipment and personnel for anything from a single speaker to a symphony orchestra, a meeting for 50 or a concert for 50,000 or more people.

DSL can supply sound, video and lighting systems, stages, tents, seating, band gear and other production equipment and supplies.

To date DSL has logged well over 5,000 concerts, corporate meetings, fairs and festivals, parties and presentations.

DSL has provided equipment and services for events in New York City, Chicago, Orlando, Boston, Las Vegas and other locations throughout the country.
